Effect of Copper Percentage in Copper Tungsten Electrode on Ti6Al4V by Electrical Discharge Machining

Abstract The aim of this study was to identify the optimal parameters for electrical discharge machining Ti6Al4V titanium alloy using copper tungsten electrodes with compositions 70% and 80%, respectively. experiment involved varying current, pulse on time, duty factor were determined Taguchi experimental method L-18 orthogonal arrays. level importance each parameter material removal rate (MRR) analysis variance (ANOVA), combination obtained signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio. results showed that a Cu30/W70% electrode performed best in terms MRR, wear, surface roughness. conditions achieving maximum MRR found be current 30 A, time 50 μs, 40%.
